While the accommodations were clean and modern, with adjustable motorized beds and a kitchen stocked with cookware and utensils, the placement of the 'Two bedroom villa' was a tad off-putting. Set at ground level, the windows provide little view and restrict airflow, adding to a somewhat claustrophobic experience. Housekeeping policies, such as making your own beds upon arrival and stripping them at departure, may come as a surprise to travelers accustomed to more service-oriented accommodations. On the plus side, the free Wi-Fi and ample parking create added convenience. Merlo Slott's picturesque gardens offer a serene contrast to the mundanities of modern life.
